This role is a Fixed term Contract for 12 months.

Location: Craigavon

Purpose of the Role

Responsible for the execution of customer development projects, ensuring delivery of innovation, technical and commercial objectives, through cross functional collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION
    • Responsible for delivery of approved product development projects from customer briefs, and business initiatives through to launch in sites, to include:
    • Innovation
    • Product transfers
    • Product improvement and SKU rationalisation
    • Responsible for ensuring products are representative of the manufacturing process and the product concept approved by the customer in terms of technical and quality standards
  • CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS
    • Direct customer interaction
    • To undertake travel to visit customers and suppliers as required.
    • Support customer site visits, to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • COMMUNICATION
    • Working effectively with other key stakeholders to ensure all aspects of product delivery
    • Responsible for leading cross functional Critical Path NPD meetings - minutes, actions, accountability of same.
  • MEASUREMENT
    • Deliver against agreed product development and innovation KPIs
    • Responsible for ensuring key milestones are met within the PLM system
  • PEOPLE AND PROCESS
    • Work in conjunction with the rest of the functional team to deliver on time product launches.
    • Provide customer expertise to site teams, and relay site expertise to the customer
    • Review current ways of working and agree change initiatives with the Innovation and Development Manager with a view to continuously improving the quality and delivery of output.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Food related degree and/or a minimum of 1 years Product Development experience in the food industry with direct responsibility for launching food products
  • Excellent communicator with the visible passion and enthusiasm for achieving targets, objectives and continuous improvement in a cross-functional team environment
  • Able to demonstrate strong analytical abilities and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage workloads
  • Confidence to represent Moy Park and its values from an NPD perspective, developing and maintaining relationships at all levels within the organisation
