Head of European Energy and Utility Procurement
Location – Uxbridge
Full day role based 5 days in the office
Purpose
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: As head of the Energy and Utility Procurement team you will be based at our corporate office in Uxbridge, London. We are looking for a strategic, forward-thinking professional who will be responsible for overseeing competitive sourcing of power, natural gas, and all utilities across UK and Europe
Key Responsibilites
- Purchase power, natural gas, water and industrial gasses for all sites in UK, Ireland and Europe
- Responsible for locking in market values at competitive costs. Strong ability to preform market research and pricing forecasts
- Review suppliers and sourcing supply
- Analyse economic and market data related to UK energy markets
- Budget, forecast and monitor site usage rates and costs
- Ensure sites have adequate supply to run efficiency
- Development of energy risk management models and tools
- Prepare regular reports and market updates for senior management
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Knowledge
- Team leadership and management skills
- Proven analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in statistical software and databases
- Knowledge of power, natural gas, fuel and currency markets
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary, and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Bachelor\’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, Data Science or a related field required, MBA preferred
