Purpose of the Role
This role is part of the Finance team which has responsibility for the three Food Service sites within the UK. The main purpose of the role will be to assist with the management and controls of the costing processes at the Grantham, Huntingdon and Peterborough sites and assist with elements of the weekly and monthly reporting process.
Key Responsibilities
- BOM Creation using SAP S4
- Review of costings on Point 74 (PLM) – Grantham Site
- Assisting in the management of the SharePoint costing process for Kitchen Range sites (Huntingdon and Peterborough)
- Creation of weekly production and labour reports
- Extract, analyse and report variances to standard.
- Assist in the timely preparation, interpretation and presentation of the daily, weekly and monthly factory accounting reports.
- Assist in overhead reporting and supporting the budget holders in understanding the costs within each of their budget responsibilities.
- Responsible for the management and reconciliation of staff shop card receipts.
- Identify areas for improvements within processes & procedures carried out by the finance department.
- Help maintain an effective, integrated management accounting and financial reporting systems for the sites.
- Maintain a good working relationship within the team and other departments which is consistent with the principles of delivering a high quality service.
- Occasional visits to the other two sites at Huntingdon and Peterborough
- Other ad-hoc duties as and when required
Skills & Experience Required
- Part or fully qualified AAT
- Good spreadsheet skills
- Experience using ERP systems
- Comfortable working within both an office and factory environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and motivated to deliver a proactive accounting service
- Willing to travel on occasion to other sites
