We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Site Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance function at our Ruskington site. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, managing capital projects, ensuring full legislative compliance, and leading a high-performing maintenance team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The Role
As Site Engineering Manager, you will take full responsibility for site engineering operations, maintenance strategy, infrastructure development and capital investment delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the site engineering strategy aligned to business goals
- Lead capital investment projects from planning through to execution
- Manage all site maintenance activities and CMMS systems (Holistech)
- Drive asset reliability through robust PPM and MTBF analysis
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and legislative requirements
- Manage external contractors and service level agreements
- Oversee departmental budgets, cost control and financial performance
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives including RCA and 5 Why
- Administer and manage the permit to work system
- Ensure engineering standards support food safety and audit readiness
- Lead and develop a skilled, engaged engineering team
- Play a critical role in maintaining an “audit ready” site and actively support HACCP, Q&FS systems and the QUOR platform
What We’re Looking For
- Proven engineering management experience within food manufacturing
- Strong leadership background managing large engineering teams
- Experience delivering capital expenditure programmes
- Expertise in CMMS/PPM systems and asset performance management
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, environmental and legislative controls
- Demonstrable experience in cost control and quality systems
- Degree or HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
- Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3
- Resilient, commercially aware, detail-focused and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
