We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader to lead a team of Engineers on shift rotation. To provide technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems for the site. Responsible for ensuring that the company Health, Safety, Environment and Hygiene policies are adhered to.
Responsibilities include:
- Data entry on to Holistech for all parts used & jobs raised & completed during the shift.
- Housekeeping of all workshop areas and ensuring that the department is audit ready at all times.
- Managing your own and your team's engineering handback procedures.
- Ensuring all work on shift is carried out to specification and that food safety standards are met.
- Meeting targets using appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of problems.
- Demonstrating a clear teamwork ethos with the Engineering department and across other departments.
- Attending daily meetings to handover with incoming/outgoing shifts.
- Providing a written shift report for each shift.
- Assessing skills across the shift and working with Supervisors in closing skills gaps.
- Delivering departmental goals through effective leading of the shift teams.
- Excellent timekeeping, attendance and adherence to company procedures.
- Responding promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any issues to minimize downtime, quality and efficiency problems.
- Understanding and contributing using a range of risk assessment techniques to ensure safety of plant, equipment and people.
- Supporting a culture that enhances behavioural awareness of quality, safety and the environment.
- Being adaptable to any shift pattern that the company deems necessary for the business.
Essential Criteria:
- A recognised qualification for mechanical and electrical engineering.
- An understanding of engineering requirements, preferably with experience in an FMCG chilled environment.
- A good aptitude/understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Competent IT/Computer skills including Holistech literacy.
- Actively seeking opportunities for self-development and learning and learning from experiences through evaluation.
- Attending training courses as identified by legislative/company requirements.
- Engaging with the PDP process to identify training and development opportunities.
