The Job of a Lorry Driver in Craigavon involves transporting raw materials between sites, and delivering them safely and soundly to various sites. The Lorry Driver works as part of a team of people and independently reporting directly to the Transport Manager.
The hours of work: Thur - Fri 12:00 - 22:00 ¦ Sat - Sun 10:00 - 20:00
Essential
- Must be able to read, write, speak and listen in English
- Must be able to think clearly e.g. good reasoning ability
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have an awareness of hygiene and quality issues
- Must have a positive attitude to work and others
- Must have a HGV class 1 licence
Desirable
- Lorry driving experience
- Electric Pallet Truck/Forklift/ Reach Truck licence
- Experience transporting food/food products
- Evidence of ability to complete and understand paperwork
- Knowledge of the importance of temperature control
- Good communication skills
- Experience and knowledge of hygiene, cleanliness and simple maintenance
- Digital Tachograph experience
- The ability to work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills
