We are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our team in Rushmere modern offices. The successful candidate will have strong leadership and team management skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management, and an initiative-taking, direct approach with a passion for improving systems and processes. You will support and develop the AP team members, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
Key Deliverables:
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of supplier invoices.
- Produce accurate and timely management reports and KPIs for AP.
- Timeliness of supplier query resolution.
- Compliance with all relevant legislation and reporting requirements (including Sox).
- Standardisation of processes and reporting.
- Create a high performing team through support, training, and development to enable progression and cross team cover.
Requirements:
- Previous experience of managing teams ideally within a Shared Service Centre environment.
- Leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Thorough and meticulous with extreme diligence.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent communication skills responding to queries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and implementing system changes.
- Experience of an ERP, ideally SAP.
- Be able to deliver to tight deadlines and resilient, capable of prioritising regularly to meet the needs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
