Purpose

We are currently seeking to recruit a Market Intelligence Analyst to join the Procurement team at our corporate office in Uxbridge, London. We are looking for a candidate who has a strong background in economics with knowledge and experience in agricultural commodities and futures markets. Our ideal candidate should be skilled in data analysis, possess excellent forecasting abilities, and be able to provide insight into grain and oilseed markets to aid our risk management and feed procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse economic and market data related to grains and oilseeds
  • Automation of data, systems, and process improvement within feed procurement team.
  • Forecast market trends and provide actionable insights for risk mitigation
  • Contribute to the development of risk management models and tools
  • Collaborate with the procurement and commercial teams to align market intelligence with purchasing and trading strategies
  • Prepare regular market analysis reports for senior management
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience mandatory
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in statistical software and databases
  • Experience in python coding strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of the agriculture commodities and futures market, specifically in grains and oilseeds
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary, and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate
  • Preferred bachelor\’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Finance, Data Science or a related field
