Overview
We are looking for an Agriculture Compliance Auditor to join our Agriculture Compliance Team, reporting into the Pig & Lamb Compliance Manager. As an Agriculture Compliance Auditor based in Anwick, you will be working closely with our farmers, assessing on farm standards from an animal welfare and food safety perspective, as well as being responsible for the tracking of systems and processes.
Responsibilities
- Auditing Agri sites to legal, industry certification bodies, Customer standards and internal standards and working with farmers for continual improvement
- Communicate auditing standards with all supply chain units
- Tracking farm standards
- Produce action plans to improve on farm compliance and business wide improvements
- Managing workload to ensure sites across Chicken, Lamb and Pig supply chain are audited to Pilgrim\\\’s Europe standard
- Create systems to track trends and analysis
- Ensure new standards form welfare bodies, customers and internal are communicated – input and manage new farm standards
- Drive down non conformances and close out time
- Completing and tracking worker welfare surveys including producing action plans
- Co-ordinating REP survey to be completed on farm and providing feedback
- Responsible for Customer data collection as required
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Good personal skills, with the ability to influence and elicit change on farm.
- A good, sensible manner when talking to a variety of different people.
- Good knowledge of the agricultural industry or experience within the pig & poultry industry a real benefit.
- The ability to work within a team essential.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Enthusiastic and a \\\”get things done\\\” attitude
Experience/Qualifications
- Degree or relevant qualification would be desirable
- Driving Licence
- Meat industry experience an advantage
