Pilgrim V8 specialise in the restoration and repair of a wide range of vintage, classic retro and modern classic cars within the American market as well as full retromod builds and bespoke modifications and conversions. We are looking for a classic car Mechanic who is capable of working on this wide range of vehicles. Our premises are in the heart of Sussex, all candidates must possess a drive to succeed, be self-motivated, strive for perfection and wish to work in an environment where quality comes above all else.
Your responsibilities will include:
- All aspects of mechanical work: engine/chassis/brakes/suspension/interior
- Vehicle strip and rebuild when completing full restorations, refurbishments and overhaul of mechanical parts for restoration
- Mechanical/electrical fault diagnosis and repair
- Aftermarket installation and custom wiring looms
- Major engine and transmission overhauls/repairs, engine rebuilds and modifications
Desirable skills:
- Brand experience: Ford/Chevy/Corvette
- Fault finding with a high level of computer and old-fashioned diagnostic skills
- Experience in complete vehicle builds within the Classic Car or Motorsport Industry
- Experience in engine and transmission rebuild and repair
- Good organisational skills
All Candidates are expected to:
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Strive for perfection
- Have a strong interest in the Classic Car Industry
- Work independently to meet strict project deadlines
- Have at least 5 years’ experience in the Motor Industry
- Have good communication skills
- Hold a full UK driving license
