Working Pattern: 5 days from 6 (Sunday to Friday)

Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm

Pay: £17.25 per hour | Overtime: £18.25 per hour

Butchers is our in-house butchery operation and plays a key role within the business. Quality, consistency and skilled workmanship are central to everything we produce.

The Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Skilled Butcher to join our AM shift team in Boston. This is a hands-on butchery role requiring strong knife skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain high product standards within a fast-paced wholesale environment. You will work across a variety of meat products including beef, lamb, pork and chicken, preparing wholesale and customer-specific orders for the hospitality and catering sector. This is not a production-line role. Please note this is not a slaughterhouse environment. Work is focused on skilled meat preparation, portioning and wholesale order fulfilment within a modern food production setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing and portioning beef, lamb, pork and chicken products
  • Working with primal and part-processed cuts
  • Producing wholesale cuts and customer-specific portions
  • Preparing processed products including mince, burgers and sausages
  • Operating butchery machinery safely and effectively
  • Receiving and checking stock deliveries
  • Boxing, labelling and preparing customer orders
  • Using internal systems to process orders and generate labels
  • Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous butchery experience within retail, wholesale or food production
  • Strong knife skills and good product knowledge
  • Experience preparing value-added and processed products
  • Confidence using butchery equipment and machinery
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
  • Basic IT confidence for order processing and labelling
