Are you an engineer/technician with a commercial edge, or an industrial sales professional who thrives on building real, face-to-face relationships? We are a growing business focusing on Processing Industrial Powders and Supplying Metal Powders and are looking for a reliable, technically-minded individual to manage our South of England territory. This is a career-defining opportunity for the right person, as we see it as a stepping stone to becoming the future Sales Manager.

The Role

  • Based from home, you will be the face of the business for our Southern UK customers. You’ll balance technical expertise with "old school" relationship building, visiting customers and shaping our sales processes.
  • Field Sales & Relationship Management: Travel across the South of England to manage enquiries, visit customers and identify new opportunities.
  • End-to-End Sales Admin: You’ll help develop and own the process from order entry and contract reviews to providing excellent customer service.
  • Systems Management: Utilise our MRP and CRM systems to keep projects on track and data accurate.
  • Shape the Future: We want your input. You will have the unique opportunity to help shape and refine our internal processes and future sales strategies.

Location & Travel

  • Home-based: Ideally located in the South of England.
  • On the Road: You must be happy to travel for customer visits.
  • Factory Connection: Visit our site at least once a month (or as needed) to stay in touch with operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: A background in industrial/engineering sales OR a technical role with proven customer-facing experience.
  • Reliability: You are someone who follows through. In the eyes of our customers, you are the gold standard for dependability.
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfortable discussing technical issues and processing requirements. Ability to think outside the box around customer expectations.
  • Ambition: You are looking for a role you can grow into, with the goal of leading the sales function.

Package & Benefits

  • Basic Salary: £35,000 pa.
  • Car Allowance: £6,000 pa.
  • Commission: £3,000 pa. expected current commission, with uncapped growth potential as you develop new business.
  • Career Path: Direct mentorship towards a Sales Manager position.
