A well-established membrane manufacturing company based in Norfolk is looking for a Maintenance Planner & Support Coordinator to join its team.
The Company: PIL Membranes design, manufacture and test unique polymer membranes for the clothing, electronic, military, and medical markets. They specialise in water vapour transmission products with a range of applications such as leather effect membranes for children's school shoes; technical and industrial clothing (including anti-static, viral barrier, fire- and chemical-retardant garments); and sports and leisure footwear and apparel.
The Role: 36.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Assisting the Project Manager and working closely with the Engineering manager with administration, organisation, planning and scheduling of work on assets and systems, liaising with operational/Engineering functions within the business to provide support and maintain communication. Point of contact for site servicing support for the team, across the 3 businesses on site, handle completion of activities from start to finish, raise purchase orders and work orders, as well as completing data entry for work programming and reports. Support where appropriate the local Technicians with administration ensuring efficiency of maintenance is achieved.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Monitor inboxes and workflow queues and assist in dealing with short term to long term project deliveries and service contract.
- Support the delivery of the site annual shutdown.
- Maintain direct contact and organise contractors work, support them whilst on site, & issue any permits required.
- Liaise with relevant departments to provide support and maintain effective communication.
- Work order creation and allocation, assisting the Project Manager and Engineering Manager with scheduling of responsive and planned workloads.
- Work with the team to maintain accurate reports and ensure service compliance is met, ensuring all records are maintained and kept up to date using the CMMS system.
Skills, Experience & Competencies:
- Proven experience of working in a dynamic environment.
- Broad engineering knowledge welcome with some maintenance experience.
- Proven track record of working to deadlines with a high level of organisation skills.
- Previous experience working on own initiative and / or working as part of a team.
- Manage high workloads and organise logically and methodically.
- Work under pressure and still maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience of using CMMS System (Pirana Shire Systems).
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Mathematics and English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) & AutoCAD.
- Health & Safety Training (IOSH Accredited) desirable.
