As an Activity Assistant, you will help plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being. Your enthusiasm and dedication will play a key role in creating a positive and vibrant environment for our residents.
Position Details
- Location: San Leandro, CA
- Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-Time (weekends and holidays as needed)
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing daily activity programs
- Lead group activities, games, arts and crafts, and special events
- Encourage resident participation and engagement
- Provide one-on-one visits and support for residents unable to attend group activities
- Assist with decorating and preparing activity spaces
- Transport residents to and from activities as needed
- Maintain activity records and documentation
- Support community outings and special celebrations
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and positive atmosphere
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in healthcare, senior living, recreation, or customer service is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and transport activity supplies and equipment as needed
