Safety Critical Engineer | SC-Cleared | UK-wide locations (primarily Midlands) | Hybrid working | Inside IR35 Pigment is a change and transformation consultancy.

We partner with other consultancies, government departments, and private sector organisations to deliver a 'one team approach' for solving complex change programmes.

We are seeking a Safety Critical Engineer to join our team, supporting the design, development, integration, and in-service support of complex safety-critical systems.

This role is integral to ensuring that submarine systems meet the highest standards of safety compliance.

Our engineer will leverage their expertise in submarine, naval, aerospace, or nuclear industries to contribute to robust safety cases and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain safety cases for submarine systems and equipment.

Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.

Support system design reviews to ensure safety requirements are identified.

Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards.

Provide technical guidance on safety engineering best practice across projects.

Required skills/experience: Experience within the submarine, naval, defence, aerospace, nuclear, rail, or other highly regulated industries.

Familiarity with defence standards and maritime safety regulations.

Experience using safety analysis and requirements management tools.

Please note that due to project sensitivities and timelines, our consultant must hold active and valid SC-Level Security Clearance.
