Finance Analyst | London and East Midlands locations | Inside IR35 | Hybrid working | Local Authority
Pigment Consulting is a change and transformation consultancy. We partner with other consultancies, government departments, and private sector organisations to deliver tailored solutions that drive real change.
We are currently looking for several Finance Analysts to join our team and support our work in Local Government Reorganisation, taking part in analysing financial information across the existing local authorities and supporting the development of robust financial plans for the future unitary authority arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analysis.
- Analyse budgets, expenditure, income, funding, reserves and financial commitments.
- Undertake variance analysis and investigate significant movements or inconsistencies.
- Produce clear financial analysis and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Support the development of financial baselines for the new unitary authority arrangements
- Assess the financial impact of transferring and combining services across existing councils.
- Support the identification and tracking of financial benefits arising from transformation and organisational change.
Experience:
- A strong background working in local government, councils. or combined authorities is essential
- Specific experience of working in an LGR (Local Government Reorganisation) is preferred
- Experience analysing large and complex datasets.
- Strong understanding of variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
