You Will
Daily animal husbandry tasks in support of breeding and scientific research including:Pig placementPig healthcare and medication, including basic veterinary proceduresFeeding managementEnvironment, water, and ventilation managementOff TestingCollection of blood samplesProduction records keepingMaintain accurate and timely production information and records as required by the supervising agricultural sciences professionalsAssist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flowsComplete all tasks pertaining to farrowing, including fostering, weaning, and processing littersTreat sick animals with a variety of pharmaceuticals by injection, oral application, and/or other methods as requiredMaintain facility biosecurity, including sanitizing and washing multiple areas using high pressure equipment, as well as office cleanliness and laundry duties to avoid contamination or animals and research samplesFlexibility with a willingness to change plans according to the direction of farm leadershipAdhere to the Company’s animal care policies and procedures including: providing a physical environment that meets the animal’s needs, providing access to adequate water and high quality feed, providing humane treatment of the animals, providing identification and appropriate treatment of animals in need of health care and following the guidelines for euthanasia
