Meadows Recruitment are looking for an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work in Central London.
This post provides an Occupational Therapy service to inpatient children and young people (0-18 years) admitted under the care of the International and Private Care (IPC) Wards. IPC has 3 wards and offers more than 50 different clinical specialties.
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide assessment, intervention, management and advice for children within these specialties. The children and young people most frequently seen have complex neurological conditions including acquired brain injury, neuro-metabolic, epilepsy, tumours and oncology conditions. Most conditions seen are complex and rare, and the post holder will be working in collaboration with various multidisciplinary teams.
In addition, the post-holder will participate in the running of the Pan Hospital Wheelchair Service, along with the rest of the Occupational Therapy team and may be required to undertake seating and wheelchair assessments for patients throughout the hospital, within a wide range of specialisms. They will also contribute to and lead on service development projects to enhance and evolve the service over time. Engagement in research and audit is actively encouraged.
