Responsibilities include preparing the lorry for delivery and accurately verifying the contents of inventory loads against load sheet documents. Reviewing all delivery instructions to support service standards. Completing all documentation promptly and accurately as required. Ensuring that the vehicle is loaded safely according to the load document. Delivering stock in a safe and efficient manner. Ensuring that all legislation relating to driving is complied with, including a tacho card. Ensuring the vehicle is safe and legal for the road by undertaking and logging routine checks of lights, tyres, oil, water, etc.
Working Hours: 45-hour week on an annualised hours scheme (Monday to Friday, with four Saturdays included). Start times vary between 5.30am and 7.30am; finish times from 3pm to 6pm.
About you: Appropriate level of driving license, current CPC Card, and a driver’s tachograph card. Relevant driving experience. Good geographical knowledge. Experience working in a customer‑focused environment with a commercial outlook. Manual handling experience handling heavy goods (average 63kg kegs).
