Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity at our Pubs on the Pier restaurants and guesthouse in an expanding County Down seaside town.
* To assist with the management of the Kitchen for the enjoyment of the guests
About The Role

• Helping the Head Chef manage the smooth and efficient operation of the Kitchens, ensuring our reputation for food quality is always maintained.
• Ensuring the planning, preparation, cooking and presentation of food is to the standard required.
• Helping the Executive and Head Chef manage budgets, menus and various catering contracts.
• Ensuring the kitchen complies with all matters relating to food hygiene regulations, environmental health laws and all other relevant legislation.
• Ensuring the restaurant 5* hygiene score is achieved and maintained.
• Ensuring the security of the kitchen and storage areas is maintained at all times.
• Ensuring all kitchen employees receive appropriate training, coaching and development.
• Ensuring all kitchen areas, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained
• Working effectively with colleagues across departments to ensure a balanced working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• Carrying out any other duties as required.

Skills Needed
* Enthusiasm to work with a strong and dynamic kitchen and front of house team who strive to exceed customer expectations at every visit.
Desired Criteria

• Should be qualified to NVQ level 3 or the equivalent in Food Preparation and Cooking. Required Criteria
• Good Command of English Language
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Must have previous experience as a Sous Chef
• Must have NVQ level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking or the equivalent and hold a recognised current Food Hygiene certificate.
• Must have a good understanding of HACCP

40 hours per week
