Who They Are
This is a well-funded, fast-moving tech business building cutting-edge interactive experiences powered by AI. Their in-house team blends artistry and engineering to create expressive, real-time 3D characters — and they’re scaling up. With a collaborative culture and a clear product vision, they’re offering the chance to get in early and help shape something genuinely innovative.
This role offers the chance to work on expressive, AI-powered 3D characters — built in-house using industry-standard tools and the PBR pipeline — and bring them to life in real-time. You’ll be the bridge between creative vision and technical execution, with the autonomy to improve workflows, performance, and visual fidelity from day one.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Integrating and optimising 3D assets, rigs, and animations in Unity for real-time performance
- Building shaders, VFX, and lighting setups using Shader Graph and Unity systems
- Supporting facial animation pipelines — visemes, blend shapes, lip-sync
- Creating tools and scripts to streamline workflows for artists and animators
What You’ll Need to Bring
- 4+ years as a Technical Artist in Unity, ideally in games, VR/AR or interactive media
- Strong grasp of real-time asset workflows, lighting, VFX, and optimisation
- Hands-on experience with Shader Graph, post-processing, and Unity HDRP
- Solid understanding of animation pipelines — rigging, blend shapes, viseme integration
