Having established a great product offering, built an excellent team and a slick supply chain, this ambitious, well-funded organic food brand, is seeking a Senior National Account Manager to play an instrumental role in helping them to achieve their annual sales and growth targets.

Although the company harvests a fun SME culture in the UK, it is a grown-up business that provides an autonomous and flexible culture. This will allow anyone coming in a real opportunity to be a part of the generation that takes its brands to the next level.

This business has doubled its figures in the UK market alone, currently distributed in Sainsburys, Tesco, Morrisons and Ocado, with more retailers still to come!

As a Senior National Account Manager, you are responsible for leading 2 of the biggest grocery accounts in the business.

You’ll have the skills to build unrivalled cross-functional relationships with key customer contacts across buying, supply chain, category & format teams as well as managing reports in your team.

You will need to devise & deliver exceptional JBPs with all key customers, ensuring sales of products are maximized at key trading periods. You will also manage P&L and forecasting of assigned accounts to deliver value, volume, and GP% % metrics.

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain their internal and external strategy, as well as work with cross-functional teams within the business to deliver killer insights and drive significant business benefits.

You will HAVE to be an existing SNAM or NAM with experience of working with the Top 4 Grocers within the Food & Drink categories.

We want to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Experience working on AT LEAST two of the Top Grocery retail accounts within the FMCG Food & Drink Sector.
  • Exposure to building JBP’s & budgetary responsibility.
  • Strong training background in FMCG Food or Drinks categories.
  • Ideally some experience in line management and developing talent but this is NOT essential.
  • A great track record of driving sales and profitability whilst working with your accounts.
  • Results-driven individual – can show examples of strong, tangible business results that you have led personally.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Resilience and determination are key – obstacles don’t hold you back and you work effectively when faced with a tough buyer or tricky negotiation.
  • Analytical mindset – you are all over the data and can bring new and relevant insights into your account.
  • Leadership abilities – the more junior members of the sales team can look to you for guidance or knowledge and you bring positive energy to the team.
  • You enjoy working within a fast-paced, highly visible environment.
