An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially focused and analytically driven Head of Insurance to join a high-performing Commercial team. This team plays a critical role in driving strategic growth initiatives, developing new products, and enhancing insight, reporting, and forecasting across a growing vehicle services portfolio.

The Head of Insurance will take responsibility for key operational areas, including insurance, repairs, and maintenance. This high-profile role offers regular exposure to the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, and is central to delivering long-term, sustainable commercial performance.

Location: Hertfordshire 2 days a week

Up to 10% bonus

Up to 15% pension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with insurers and insurance brokers to evaluate and influence scheme performance.
  • Deliver both regular and ad hoc analysis to highlight areas of opportunity and risk.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly commercial and financial reports, including investigation of variances against budget and forecast.
  • Serve as a business partner to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Review and improve performance tracking tools, recommending systemic solutions to support a scaling portfolio.

Candidate Profile:

  • Prior experience or exposure in car insurance or vehicle leasing is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a proactive and inquisitive approach, with the ability to work independently and escalate issues when needed.
  • Possesses strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • A confident communicator with excellent relationship-building capabilities.
  • Capable of understanding the wider business context and considering broader commercial impacts.
  • Highly organised with proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
