Every commercial project we deliver helps fund training and employment opportunities for young people facing barriers to entering the creative industries. We're growing and are looking for an experienced Business Manager to help drive our next stage of growth.

The Role

This is not a traditional sales role. We're looking for someone who understands the realities of production and can confidently manage client relationships, develop new business opportunities and oversee projects from initial enquiry through to delivery. The ideal candidate will have a background in video production, agency account management, production management or production company operations and will be comfortable speaking with both clients and creatives. You will work closely with the Founder and production team to help grow the business, improve systems and ensure projects run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

    • Respond to inbound enquiries and convert opportunities into projects.
    • Attend networking events and industry meetings.
    • Identify opportunities for repeat business and long-term client partnerships.
  • Client Management
    • Lead discovery calls and project scoping meetings.
    • Prepare proposals, quotations and project budgets.
    • Manage client communications throughout projects.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Production Oversight
    • Work alongside producers, filmmakers and animators to monitor project progress.
    • Support resource planning and scheduling.
    • Identify risks and solve problems before they affect delivery.
    • Help maintain quality standards across all productions.
  • Business Operations
    • Monitor project profitability and budgets.
    • Support forecasting and pipeline management.
    • Improve internal systems and workflows.
    • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 3 years' experience in a production company, creative agency or related environment.
  • Understands video production workflows from briefing through to delivery.
  • Is commercially minded and comfortable discussing budgets.
  • Can build trusted relationships with clients.
  • Is organised, proactive and highly reliable.
  • Enjoys balancing commercial objectives with social impact.
  • Can work independently and take ownership of projects.

Desirable Experience

  • Video production or animation industry experience.
  • Experience writing proposals and winning new business.
  • CRM management experience.
  • Experience working with charities, healthcare organisations, education providers or public sector clients.
  • Experience managing freelancers and production teams.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months you will:

  • Increase the value of our sales pipeline.
  • Improve conversion rates from enquiry to project.
  • Help secure new long-term client partnerships.
  • Improve project profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for key clients.

Why Join Us?

  • Meaningful work with organisations creating positive social impact.
  • Hybrid and flexible working.
  • Opportunity to shape a growing social enterprise.
  • Work with a talented team producing award-winning content.
  • Direct influence on the future direction of the company.
  • Every project helps create opportunities for young people entering the creative industries.
