We are looking for hardworking individuals who love film and genuinely enjoy providing excellent customer service. A background in food and beverage service is advantageous, as our cinema has a cafe bar. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and school holidays is required.
Job Purpose
To welcome visitors to the cinema in an individual and informed way, delivering the highest standard of customer service. Support the cinema team to promote memberships, drive sales, and ensure smooth cinema operations in line with policies and procedures. Full training will be provided to perform various duties across the cinema.
Your Duties Will Include but Are Not Limited To
- Promotion and sale of tickets, retail items, alcohol, food, and memberships
- Cash handling
- Ushering and piracy prevention
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Compliance with food safety standards
- Preparing and serving cafe food

Main Duties
- Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer service, engaging guests to maximize enjoyment and encourage repeat visits.
- Maintain inviting dwell areas for customers.
- Guide customers to their seats and verify tickets.
- Respond to customer complaints or queries promptly and escalate when necessary.
- Be knowledgeable about cinema services, facilities, accessibility, and policies.
- Communicate clearly via radios.
- Provide information on film schedules, synopses, and classifications; be aware of piracy policies.
- Manage lost property and monitor picture & sound quality, temperature, and disturbances.
- Stay informed about current promotions and promote memberships.
- Process transactions accurately, including discounts and memberships.
- Use suggestive selling to enhance customer experience.
- Monitor stock levels and presentation.
- Record wastage properly and maintain food hygiene standards.
- Follow health and safety policies with a proactive approach.
- Use equipment correctly and report issues immediately.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Open and close areas, completing relevant paperwork.
- Perform basic daily cleaning duties in various areas, including toilets and staff spaces.
- Attend staff meetings and keep up-to-date with communications.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
