We are working with a leading professional services firm in London to recruit a Senior Office Technology Specialist to act as the senior presence on the firm’s Tech Bar and the primary AV support specialist for the office. This is a highly visible, client-facing role, suited to an experienced senior 2nd line IT professional who is confident supporting partners and senior stakeholders in a live office environment.
The Senior Office Technology Specialist will sit at the front of office technology support, acting as the go-to escalation point for complex issues and ensuring a consistently high standard of service across the firm. The role combines:
- Senior 2nd line desk-side and walk-up IT support
- Ownership of the Tech Bar function
- Hands-on AV and meeting room support
- Delivery of key IT projects
You will be trusted to engage directly with partners, resolve issues quickly and professionally, and keep disruption to a minimum.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as the senior presence on the Tech Bar, providing front-of-house IT support.
- Serve as escalation point for junior members of the team.
- Provide hands-on AV and meeting room support for client and internal meetings.
- Support and troubleshoot endpoint hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Lead and deliver IT projects including: Windows 11 rollout, Laptop refresh programme, siPhone rollouts.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business, including partners and senior staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow agreed processes and standards.
Skills and experience required:
- Proven experience in a senior 2nd line desk-side or end-user IT support role.
- Strong experience supporting users face-to-face in an office environment.
- Confident supporting AV systems and live meeting room technology.
- Strong Windows and endpoint support background.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with senior stakeholders.
- Calm, pragmatic approach to problem-solving in live environments.
- Experience within a law firm or professional services environment is highly desirable.
