About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Head of Property to lead and shape the future of our Property Department. This is a senior leadership position for a highly motivated individual with proven legal expertise, strong commercial awareness, and an ambition to grow a thriving team.

The successful candidate will act as the Senior Reporting Officer for the department, providing strategic direction, driving performance, and fostering a culture of excellence in client service and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of the Property Department’s business plan.
• Act as SRO for all matters within the department, ensuring effective oversight and risk management.
• Inspire, manage and develop a team of fee earners and support staff.
• Set and monitor KPIs to achieve growth, profitability and service excellence.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for cross-selling and external partnerships to grow the department’s client base.
• Oversee case progression, supervision and compliance in line with regulatory and internal quality standards.
• Ensure efficient workflows, appropriate delegation, and use of technology to enhance delivery.
• Contribute to firm wide initiatives, systems and culture as a member of the senior leadership team.
• Mentor and coach junior lawyers, driving continuous learning and career progression.

Candidate Profile:
• Qualified solicitors with a minimum of 8+ years PQE in Residential Property.
• Demonstrable experience in a senior role with leadership responsibility.
• Track record of delivering excellent client service and growing a profitable caseload/team.
• Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Inspirational leader with the ability to motivate, influence and bring out the best in others.
• Highly organised and resilient, with proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Committed to high professional standards, compliance and continual improvement.
• Commercial Property experience in addition to Residential Property would be a distinct advantage.
• Must drive and be willing to work over multiple offices as and when required.
