Fixed Income (FI) is formed of a team of 125 investment professionals located across 9 cities (Frankfurt, Geneva, London, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Zurich & New York). Within this, our Emerging Market specialist team has been investing in the asset class since 1998. It is responsible today for over $8.5bn of assets and offers our clients a range of sovereign and corporate strategies on both a global and regional basis. You will work closely with the Emerging Market Corporate Credit team, collaborating in day-to-day investment analysis across Latin American high-yield and investment-grade issuers.
Your role:
- Build and maintain detailed financial models for corporate issuers including income statement, cash flow, balance sheet, leverage, liquidity, and covenant analysis.
- Analyse bond structures, capital structures, and security packages across operating and holding companies.
- Assess relative value across bonds, issuers, and peer groups using spreads, curves, duration, ratings, and structural features.
- Prepare credit research reports and concise investment summaries for internal use.
- Attend company earning and ESG calls, roadshows, and management meetings and produce clear, structured meeting notes and takeaways.
- Monitor financial performance, operating trends, and key credit metrics versus expectations.
- Track news flows, rating-agency actions, and covenant developments relevant to portfolio holdings and the broader Latin American credit universe.
- Support new issue analysis, refinancing scenarios, and downside or stress-case assessments.
- Contribute to ongoing portfolio monitoring and ad-hoc analytical requests from the team.
Your profile:
- Relevant undergraduate degree.
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in credit research, investment banking, leveraged finance, or asset management, preferably in Latin American markets.
- Basic understanding of corporate finance and credit analysis and financial modelling skills in Excel.
- Ability to analyse bond documentation and understand key terms such as maturity of a bond, call structure, covenants, guarantees, and security.
- Foundational grasp of fixed income concepts such as spreads, duration, yield, curves, and relative-value frameworks.
- Strong written skills with the ability to produce clear, concise credit notes and investment summaries.
- Comfortable working with earnings releases, offering memoranda, rating-agency reports, and management presentations.
- High level of organization, accuracy, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced performance driven environment.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg and financial data platforms is a plus.
- Intellectually curious, receptive to feedback and eager to learn from colleagues. You will have a genuine interest in Latin American corporates and credit markets coupled with critical thinking and ability to challenge assumptions.
- Proficiency in English required, Spanish and/or Portuguese essential.
