The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Design, prototype manufacture and testing of miniature brushless DC motors and controllers with analytic and experimental techniques. Prior experience with battery technology is highly desirable. Assisting with building test rigs to test motors (and the pumps they drive) under various simulated conditions. Lead to prototypes suitable for implantation and trials in animals and humans. Reports to the CTO and CEO, liaises with fellow technical staff and external collaborators.

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

  • CAD design (preferably Solidworks)
  • Electrical motor simulations (preferably Ansys Maxwell)
  • Understanding of electrical motor testing and evaluation

  • Writing of archival journal papers and presentation in conferences (in that order)
