Your role

Pico Technology is looking for an experienced FPGA Designer with proven HDL skills and experience to develop a new range of test and measurement solutions. If you have a passion for engineering and want to work with like-minded people, then Pico could be what you're looking for!

The perfect applicant would be a well-rounded FPGA Engineer to complement our dynamic High-End Scope Design team. Ideally from a high-tech electronic product design environment the successful job holder will be able to demonstrate mixed signal design skills and experience. Preference will be given to those with previous test equipment design experience.

What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Design Engineer with a strong background in high-performance VHDL/Verilog FPGA design. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital and analogue hardware design, fault-finding, debugging, and familiarity with test methodologies and simulation tools. A solid understanding of mixed signal design and signal integrity is essential, along with a creative approach to problem-solving.

Desirable skills include experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGAs and associated tools, proficiency in firmware/software development(C, C++, C#), and familiarity with design for Test & Measurement or scientific markets. Experience with tools such as Vivado, Modelsim, Visual Studio, Git, and Jira, as well as scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL), Clock Domain Crossing techniques, and High-Level Synthesis, will be an advantage.
