Your role

As a Product Owner for PicoScope, you will lead the evolution of our world-leading test and measurement solutions, bridging advanced software with cutting-edge electronics diagnostics. This isn’t just about apps; it’s about empowering engineers and technicians globally with tools that directly impact their day to day. You will play a key role in adding innovative features at the forefront of electronics diagnostics software development.

You will be at the forefront of bridging business objectives with technical execution. Reporting to the Head of Software, you will be responsible for driving product vision, optimising development processes, and ensuring that each product aligns with market demands and stakeholder expectations. You will act as the primary advocate for the product, leading its development through strategic planning, clear communication, and decisive prioritisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and communicating the product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends
  • Establishing a clear product roadmap that guides development teams towards impactful releases
  • Nurturing strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs, gather requirements, and manage expectations
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for product-related discussions and decisions
  • Curating, prioritising, and managing the product backlog, ensuring clarity of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Continuously evaluating and adjusting priorities based on stakeholder input, market shifts, and strategic goals
  • Working closely with development teams, automotive engineers, electronic engineers and the wider business to translate business needs into actionable features and deliverables
  • Facilitating effective communication across teams to drive alignment and clarity
  • Leveraging analytics, user feedback, and market research to inform product decisions
  • Monitoring product performance and iterating to improve user experience and achieve business objectives
  • Proactively identifying potential risks, barriers, and dependencies, ensuring that challenges are addressed swiftly to maintain project momentum

What we’re looking for

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within product development, specifically for hardware-centric products, ideally in test and measurement, industrial electronics, or similar sectors is essential.
  • Strong academic background in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline is essential.
  • Confident in programming and excellent mathematical skills. The candidate is required to be sufficient in these skills to understand technical, high level discussions with software engineers.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive data-informed decisions
  • Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and market conditions with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile/Product management certifications would be advantageous
