As an Applications Engineer for our Test & Measurement platform, you will be the technical heartbeat of our customer success strategy. Reporting to the Global OEM/Key Accounts Manager, you will act as a pivotal link between our advanced engineering teams and our diverse global customer base. Product adoption and integration for strategic accounts and OEMs, providing expert pre and post sales support that Pico is known for. Your influence will extend beyond direct support as you train our network of strategic channel partners and collaborate with marketing to transform complex technical capabilities into engaging, market-leading content.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting customers with product selection and configuration, while providing hands‑on troubleshooting and resolutions via phone, email, and on‑site visits.
- Partnering with Marketing to write technical articles, whitepapers, and application notes, as well as developing scripts for informative video content and demos.
- Translating complex engineering specifications into compelling benefits for both technical and non‑technical audiences to showcase our product capabilities.
- Designing and delivering high‑impact training sessions for internal sales teams and external global partners to ensure they can effectively utilize our software and hardware tools.
- Representing Pico at UK and international trade shows and conferences, staying ahead of industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify new product opportunities.
- Working closely with product line engineers to master new features and feeding "voice of the customer" insights back into the development cycle.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience) with a deep understanding of test and measurement methodologies.
- The ability to analyse customer pain points and market trends to propose unique technical solutions and product improvements.
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, with a proven ability to present complex concepts clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- A self‑motivated and independent work ethic, paired with the strong problem‑solving skills needed to address unique customer requirements.
- The flexibility and willingness to travel regularly across the UK and EMEA region (with occasional international travel).
- Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes and a background in either RF or programming.
