About Picnic

Picnic is building the surface layer for media quality and curation in programmatic advertising. Our platform, PIQ (Picnic Inventory Quality), helps agencies, brands and platform partners understand and optimise the quality of the websites and inventory where ads run. We work with programmatic buyers to turn quality signals into practical decisions that improve outcomes across advertising campaigns and supply.

About the role

We’re looking for a mid-level freelance graphic designer to provide ongoing design support as and when needed. This will typically involve a couple of small projects per month, with clear briefs and defined scopes for each piece of work. We’ll start with a paid test project, then move to an ongoing freelance relationship if it’s a good fit on both sides.

What you’ll be working on

  • Social media graphics and carousels (primarily for LinkedIn/Email)
  • Brand assets and infographics
  • Occasional support with decks (sales, product, case studies)
  • One-pagers and product/marketing collateral

What we’re looking for

  • Strong graphic design experience
  • Comfortable creating new concepts and layouts
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva
  • Experience working with clear brand guidelines and applying them consistently
  • Attention to detail, good typography, and clean layout instincts

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Experience with B2B, SaaS or adtech brands

How we work

  • Each project is clearly scoped upfront with timelines and deliverables
  • We prefer editable source files on delivery, ideally in Canva for reuse
  • Pricing will start per project for initial work, with the option to evolve the setup over time

How to apply

Please use the link to apply and within your application, ensure you share:

  • A short intro about yourself
  • Your portfolio or samples relevant to brand, social and design
  • Your typical per-project or day rate
  • Availability over the next few months

This is a freelance, project-based contract role, not a permanent (PAYE) position. You'll be an independent freelancer working remotely from anywhere, with flexible working hours. We'll agree clear scope, timelines and deliverables for each project.
