Greentrees Primary School is seeking a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to support pupils across the curriculum, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to progress. The role is part‑time, 14 hours per week (38 weeks per year, term time) and is based at Sycamore Drive, Bishopdown.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils in accessing learning across the curriculum
- Assist with delivering planned learning activities and reinforcing key skills
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing of pupils
- Support pupils with additional needs, including SEND, and assist with personal care when required
- Build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher and wider staff team, contributing ideas and taking initiative when appropriate
Qualifications
- Patient, calm and adaptable, with excellent communication skills
- Positive outlook and the ability to foster independence and confidence in pupils
- Experience or proven ability to support children with a range of abilities, including those with SEND
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding children and adherence to all relevant guidelines
