Learning Tutor
Location: Milton‑on‑Stour Church of England Primary School, Milton‑on‑Stour, Gillingham, Dorset, SP8 5QD.
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027, Part‑time (8 hours per week, 38 weeks per year).
Salary: Dorset Grade 7, pay point 14, £29,540 per year FTE (£5,278 per annum pro rata).
Hours: Thursday 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Job summary
We are looking to appoint a confident and adaptable Learning Tutor to cover classes across the school in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role involves working closely with teachers to support planning, preparation, and delivery of learning, as well as providing feedback and maintaining accurate pupil records, including marking and attendance registers. You will also contribute to the wider life of the school by participating in relevant curriculum, organisational, and pastoral meetings.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in planning, preparation, and delivery of learning.
- Provide feedback and maintain accurate pupil records.
- Mark attendance registers.
- Participate in curriculum, organisational, and pastoral meetings.
- Ensure pupils are supported across Key Stage 1 and 2.
Qualifications
Candidate should be confident, adaptable, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in teaching or supporting learners across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 is desirable. Candidates with a teaching qualification or current educator registration are highly regarded.
