Teaching Assistant, Lunchtime Playworker and After School Club Leader at Corsham Primary School (Pound Pill site)

Location: Pound Pill, Corsham, Wiltshire, SN13 9YW

Contract type: Permanent, Part‑time (FTE 38 weeks per year)

Salary: £24,796 – £31,022 per annum (FTE). Specific rates: Teaching Assistant £2,852–£2,943; Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician £2,765; After School Club Leader £9,875–£10,540.

Role Summary

A combined role supporting children throughout the school day and beyond. In the classroom you will support teachers, deliver targeted support and assist with practical activities. During lunch you will create a safe, positive play environment. As After School Club Leader you will plan and deliver engaging activities that support development, independence and confidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support learning and practical activities in classroom settings.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils to enhance progress and engagement.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable lunchtime play environment.
  • Lead the after‑school club, planning and running activities that encourage independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, teachers and parents to build positive relationships.
  • Maintain professional conduct, flexible working and proactive engagement with the school community.

Working Hours & Pattern

  • Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician: 5 hours per week, 12:00 – 13:15 (Mon‑Fri), 38 weeks per year.
  • Teaching Assistant: 5 hours per week, 13:15 – 14:30 (Mon‑Fri), 38 weeks per year.
  • After School Club Leader: 15 hours per week, 15:00 – 18:00 (Mon‑Fri), 38 weeks per year.
