About This Role

Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician

Corsham Primary School – Pound Pill site

Salary LTPW/CT: B3, £25,614 pro rata per annum

Actual Salary: £2901 per annum

Salary TA: D4-D6 – £26,016-£26,847 pro rata per annum

Actual Salary: £2946-£3040 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Part-time

Please note: The two roles are interlinked and are therefore considered as one combined appointment. If the postholder resigns from either role, their resignation will apply to both roles simultaneously.

Working hours: LTPW/CT 5 hours per week plus TA 5 hours per week, working 38 weeks per year (term time, excluding TD days)

Working pattern: LTPW/CT Monday to Friday, 12.16pm to 1.15pm

Working pattern: TA 11.45am to 12.15pm plus 1.15pm to 1.45pm

Job Summary: The Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Playworker/Classroom Technician will support pupils throughout the school day, helping to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. The role will involve supporting pupils with their learning, encouraging positive behaviour and promoting their social, emotional and personal development. During lunchtime and playtime, the postholder will supervise pupils, encourage positive interactions and help ensure their safety and wellbeing. As a Classroom Technician, the postholder will support teachers with the preparation of resources, equipment and practical activities to enhance pupils’ learning experiences. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and is committed to supporting their learning, development and wellbeing.
