Ivy Lane Primary School is seeking a committed and flexible Breakfast Club Assistant to provide high-quality care and support for children before the start of the school day. The successful candidate will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment that promotes children’s learning, play, and social development.
Responsibilities
- Support children’s personal, social and emotional needs.
- Encourage positive interaction through play and communication.
- Assist with the daily running of the club.
- Prepare food and maintain high standards of health and safety at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Willingness to undertake or hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
- Commitment to flexible working and supportive of a part-time schedule.
- Experience working with children is desirable.
Working Hours and Schedule
- Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time.
- Hours: 4 hours per week.
- Weeks per year: 38 weeks, term time excluding the school’s two tutoring days.
- Working Pattern: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 am to 8:30 am.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: D4‑D6, £25,185 – £25,989 per annum (pro‑rata).
- Actual salary: £2,191 – £2,355 per annum.
- Benefits include pension scheme, flexible working, employee wellbeing support & counselling, cycle‑to‑work scheme, and professional development.
