Pickstock supply high quality British beef to wholesalers, food service professionals, and retailers across the UK and international trade. At our site at Pickstock Telford, we slaughter, process and despatch the produce out to internal and external customers.

Due to business expansion, we are excited to advertise for an enthusiastic, proactive, and forward-thinking Day Hygiene Operative to join our cleaning team. As an integral part of the food supply chain there has never been a more exciting time to join Pickstock!

Purpose Of The Role

To maintain the production site to an exceptional level of cleanliness including the abattoir, boning hall and other production areas.

Experience Required

  • Good communication and teamwork.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to take the initiative, prioritising work when needed.
  • Reliable and flexible.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Operating the tray wash area, cleaning the trays, lids, plastic pallets and packing racks for production. This includes pre-start checks and inspecting for fault and damage.
  • Operational corridor management, overseeing the segregation of waste products.
  • Operating the knife wash – CIP of knives, chain mail gloves and aprons during production breaks.
  • Ensuring internal chillers are cleaned in accordance with CIC.
  • Any other additional cleaning tasks required.
