An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Electro-Mechanical Fitter/Assembler to join a growing assembly team based in Hazel Grove, Stockport. This role involves working on specialist equipment supplied across the UK and worldwide, primarily within the oil & gas industry. If you enjoy hands-on engineering work, problem-solving, and being part of a skilled team producing high-quality products, this could be the role for you.

The Role: You will be working within a busy assembly environment, helping to build and test electro-mechanical products to exact specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Working from schematic and mechanical GA drawings
  • Liaising with team members and other departments to ensure component availability
  • Assembling and testing products in line with Quality Plans and Certification requirements
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving assembly issues
  • Following company procedures, policies, and work instructions
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times

What We're Looking For:

  • Training or experience within electro-mechanical engineering (NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to measure and mark out accurately
  • Confident using hand tools safely and correctly
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams
  • Experience with wiring, crimping, looming, and soldering
  • Motivated, reliable, and able to communicate effectively within a team environment
