We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shot Blaster to join a busy and well-established engineering environment in Tameside. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a candidate with proven shot blasting experience who is looking for long-term employment with a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out shot blasting and glass blasting of steel products
- Preparing and restoring a variety of components including:
- Vessels
- Frames
- Plates
- Other fabricated steel products
- Ensuring finished products meet quality standards
- Working safely and efficiently within a workshop environment
- Following company health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Requirements
- Previous and proven experience in shot blasting is essential
- Experience of glass blasting is essential
- Experience working on stainless steel fabrications such as vessels, frames and plates
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
- Counterbalance FLT Licence
- Overhead Crane Licence
