About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Works Co-ordinator to join our busy manufacturing operation. This is a key role within the business, responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing customer expectations, and ensuring the smooth flow of work through the factory.

The successful candidate will come from a fast-paced, reactive manufacturing environment and will be highly organised, resilient, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate production schedules to ensure customer delivery requirements are met
  • Manage and maintain the ERP system, ensuring all production data is accurate and up to date
  • Liaise with customers regarding order progress, lead times, and delivery expectations
  • Coordinate workloads across departments to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor production capacity and proactively address potential bottlenecks
  • Manage and prioritise incoming emails, customer requests, and daily production demands
  • Produce and maintain reports using Excel and ERP systems
  • Work closely with production, purchasing, sales, and management teams
  • Ensure all works orders, schedules, and documentation are accurate and completed on time
  • React quickly and effectively to changing customer requirements and production demands

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience within a Production Planner, Works Co-ordinator, Manufacturing Planner, or similar role
  • Strong experience working within a reactive manufacturing environment
  • Full ERP system management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive customer relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
  • Resilient and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Reliable, professional, and dependable
