Shift Pattern: Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:00am Sunday–Thursday (or as required)
Pay Rate: £13.00 – £15.00 per hour, depending on experience
We are seeking an experienced Factory & Warehouse Operative to join our night shift team in Denton. The successful candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and confident working in both factory production and warehouse environments. This role requires previous experience and the ability to work independently during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating factory machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently
- Assembling, packing, or processing products in line with production targets
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Following production schedules and work instructions
- Reporting faults, defects, or maintenance issues to supervisors
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulations
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and site rules
Warehouse Duties
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Loading and unloading goods manually or using handling equipment
- Moving stock within the warehouse and factory areas
- Booking goods in and out and accurately completing paperwork or system entries
- Stock control, stock rotation, and inventory checks
- Ensuring goods are stored correctly and safely
- Keeping warehouse areas tidy and organised
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a factory and/or warehouse environment
- Experience working night shifts
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
Desirable (but not essential)
- FLT licence (Counterbalance or Reach)
- Experience using warehouse management systems
- Manufacturing or production line experience
