We are currently recruiting for experienced and motivated machinists to join our team across a range of manual and CNC boring and milling roles. This role offers opportunities on both day and night shifts, working on medium to heavy engineered components in a busy and well-established manufacturing environment.
Machine Types:
- Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operator (Day & Night Shifts)
- Manual Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator (Day & Night Shifts)
- CNC Vertical Borer Setter/Operator/Programmer (Day & Night Shifts)
- CNC Elgamill Setter/Operator/Programmer (Night Shift)
- CNC Hartford Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator/Programmer (Night Shift)
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating manual or CNC boring/milling machines
- Programming CNC machines where required (Fanuc or Heidenhain controls)
- Producing medium to heavy workpieces to customer drawings and specifications
- Carrying out self-inspection to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar machining role (manual and/or CNC)
- Background in turning or milling depending on role
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems (for CNC roles)
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as Cimco or Fusion (where applicable)
- Flexible and willing to work overtime when required
Additional Requirements:
- CNC Vertical Borer candidates must have manual machining experience, as flexibility across machines is essential.
