We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator with strong practical skills in TIG and MIG welding. This role is ideal for someone who has developed solid hands-on experience in fabrication and welding, even without formal certifications. The successful candidate will be confident working from drawings, producing high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of materials (e.g. mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Measure, cut, and assemble components to specification
- Carry out fabrication tasks including grinding, drilling, and finishing
- Ensure all welds meet quality standards and project requirements
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and structural integrity
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding (essential)
- Strong fabrication skills and workshop experience
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and with a strong work ethic
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Previous experience in a similar role or industry
