Chemical Processing & Production
- Accurately weigh, measure, mix, and batch chemical products following detailed production instructions.
- Operate mixing vessels, blending machines, pumps, and automated/semiautomated filling equipment.
- Fill containers including IBCs, drums, and smaller packaging formats to required specifications.
- Monitor temperatures, pressures, and process parameters to ensure safe, efficient production.
- Complete regular process checks, quality checks, and documentation.
Safety & Compliance
- Handle chemicals safely in accordance with COSHH, PPE requirements, and site safety rules.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure safe use of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free working area.
- Report any issues, deviations, or safety concerns immediately.
Warehouse & Material Handling
- Move raw materials, containers, and finished goods safely within the production and storage areas.
- Assist with loading/unloading deliveries when required.
- Use FLT (Counterbalance preferred).
- Complete stock rotation, labelling, and chemical traceability logs.
General Production Support
- Assist with equipment cleaning, wash-downs, and changeovers.
- Work closely with supervisors and quality teams to maintain high standards.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, mixing/batching, liquid blending, or similar industrial environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH, chemical handling, or hazardous materials (advantageous).
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
- Physically fit, comfortable with manual handling and active production duties.
- FLT licence.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively within a team.
