The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly capable Freelance Technical Events & Production Manager to lead the technical setup, coordination, and live delivery of pharmaceutical and healthcare events across virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face formats. This role requires technical confidence and operational calm under pressure, managing event technology, streaming platforms, speaker coordination, and live troubleshooting while maintaining an exceptional client experience.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering virtual, hybrid, and live events within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or regulated industries
  • Strong technical production and live streaming experience
  • Experience managing webinar and event platforms such as Zoom, Teams, ON24, Webex, Hopin, Cvent, or similar
  • Comfortable handling live troubleshooting and technical problem-solving under pressure
  • Experience coordinating speakers, rehearsals, and live show management
  • Strong stakeholder and client management experience
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Highly tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and platforms

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within ABPI-regulated environments
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical compliance and approval processes
  • Experience integrating with enterprise client systems and workflows
  • Knowledge of AV production, live broadcast environments, and event production tools

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical setup and live delivery for virtual, hybrid, and in-person pharmaceutical events
  • Manage streaming platforms, webinar systems, event technology, and production workflows
  • Coordinate live broadcasts, speaker transitions, audience interaction tools, and event recordings
  • Conduct technical rehearsals, speaker onboarding sessions, and pre-event testing
  • Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live sessions
  • Ensure high-quality attendee experiences across all event formats

Event & Production Management

  • Coordinate end-to-end operational delivery of assigned events
  • Build and manage production schedules, run-of-show documents, and technical timelines
  • Liaise with clients, venues, AV suppliers, production teams, and freelance specialists
  • Support onsite event management where required
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Maintain clear communication across all stakeholders throughout delivery

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for pharmaceutical and healthcare clients
  • Integrate quickly into client systems, processes, and delivery environments
  • Support senior stakeholders, presenters, and speakers throughout event preparation and delivery
  • Communicate confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Support process improvements across event delivery workflows
  • Maintain accurate documentation, schedules, and technical requirements
  • Contribute ideas to improve production quality, efficiency, and attendee engagement
  • Escalate risks or delivery concerns proactively with proposed solutions
