Are you an experienced fleet professional ready to lead at a national level? Pickfords is looking for a Head of Fleet to take ownership of our UK-wide vehicle operations, driving compliance and efficiency across the business.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for managing a fleet of approximately 200 vehicles (3.5T-18T), working closely with operational managers across the UK to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely, and in full compliance.
Location: Midlands-based, with regular attendance at our office near Junction 26 M1 (Nottingham).
What You'll Be Doing
- Ensuring full compliance, including Operator's Licence oversight
- Supporting regional managers with driver and fleet compliance
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
- Overseeing workshops and service standards across the network
- Managing fleet costs, fines, and day-to-day expenditure
- Handling fleet administration (V5s, purchase orders, etc.)
- Producing weekly reports for senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- Transport Manager CPC (essential)
- Recent hands-on fleet management experience
- Strong knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing commercial vehicles (highly desirable)
