Pickfords is a fantastic national brand who specialise in removals and storage, offering a full range of professional removals and storage services. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are looking for job security and progressive career opportunities. Pickfords provide training for all staff, as well as providing all uniform and PPE. This role is based in a warehouse (Kendrew Barracks) and travelling to multiple military sites. With no lone working you will always be part of a great team.
Current salary: £23,492.04
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday 7:30am until 3:30pm
- Friday 7:30am until 2:30pm
- Extra hours may be required to carry out some deliveries/collections; overtime will be paid.
Qualifications:
- Manual Handling and Customer Service skills
- Good problem‑solving skills
- Excellent spoken English
- Health & Safety Awareness
- Risk Assessment Knowledge
- Driving licence with "B1 entitlement" / Manual car licence (essential)
- Good level of fitness
Responsibilities:
- Safe and successful completion of any relocation tasks
- Carry out point of work risk assessments as required
- Assist in loading and unloading of vehicles
- Cleaning all furniture when it is returned to the warehouse
- Carry out the safe assembly and dis‑assembly of flat‑pack furniture
