As a Management Trainee, you will gain handsāon experience across all core area of the business, including sales support, move management, customer service, compliance and operational planning. Working closely with Branch Managers and senior leaders, you will learn how to manage people, processes and performance within a branch environment.This programme is designed to develop future leaders at Pickfords, offering structured training, real responsibility from day one and clear progression opportunities.Key responsibilities Operational planningAssist with planning, coordinating and monitoring daily operational activity.Ensure people, vehicles and materials are effectively scheduled to meet move plans.Complete preāmove customer calls prior to service delivery.Performance and reportingSupport weekly trading reports and financial monthly forecasts.Maintain accurate records for costs including wages, purchase orders and jobārelated expenses.Monitor branch performance against KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct customer visits during and after moves to assess service quality.Support the investigation and resolution of customer issues, claims and complaints.Ensure service delivery meets company quality standards.People and complianceAssist in managing staff levels, resource planning and holiday scheduling.Support adherence to transport legislation and company compliance standards.Maintain Health & Safety standards in line with policies.Keep training records up to date for all operational staff.Ensure branch compliance with ISO and BAR accreditations.Skills and attributes Strong interest in operations, logistics or business management.Customerāfocused approach with a commitment to service excellence.Strong commercial awareness and problemāsolving ability.Confident communicator and good written and verbal skills.Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively.Leadership potential with the ability to motivate and influence others.Willingness to learn and develop through handsāon experience.Knowledge to transport or logistics operations (desirable but not essential)Established in 1646, Pickfords is the UK\ās leading removals and storage company, with a longāstanding reputation for excellence and reliability.
